Ravalli County Attorney’s Office – Deputy County Attorney

Position Opening:  The Ravalli County Attorney’s Office has an opening for a criminal prosecutor, anticipated to be primarily focusing on felony cases, with the possibility of some misdemeanor and youth court cases.  Will be responsible for all aspects of prosecution, including search warrant and investigation review, charging, discovery, motion practice and hearings, negotiations, jury trials, sentencing and post-conviction proceedings.  Duties for other prosecutorial, civil litigation and local government legal issues may be assigned by the County Attorney as needed.

Salary:   $48,000 - $64,000 DOE, plus benefits

Requirements:  Applicants must have a JD from an ABA accredited institution, and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the practice of law, preferably in criminal prosecution.

Full-time Deputy County Attorney for the Glacier County Attorney's Office

The Glacier County Attorney's Office is seeking a full-time deputy county attorney. Start date negotiable.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Montana (or expect to be licensed October 2012), and have experience in criminal law and trials. Experience advising county or city governments also preferred. This position requires knowledge of criminal law and procedure, rules of evidence, civil procedure, and familiarity with computerized legal research and word processing. Successful applicant will prosecute misdemeanor and felony matters, youth court matters, child abuse and neglect cases, as well as mental health commitments.

Salary depends on qualifications and experience. Applicable County benefits provided.
